The people receiving letters from copyright and patent holders all purchased the items on Amazon, eBay or Alibaba. Some received a cease and desist letter from companies like Apple, others from headphone manufacturers corresponding to headphones, chargers or other accessories which resembled devices the company sending the letter sold. Some even had packages delivered and then retrieved by government agencies, including homeland security.
